The maker of an affordable, portable air purifier and portable oxygen mask has closed a $25 million deal to sell the two products to the U,S.
Aeropos, the global manufacturer of air purifiers, and Pinnacle Global, which makes the oxygen masks, had been working on the deal for months, a person familiar with the matter said.
The U.s. government will pay $25 per unit, the person said.
The company said in a statement that it has also announced a new partnership with Pinnacle, which will make the portable oxygen masks.
The deal was part of a larger deal between the two companies to expand their business.
The deal includes a $100 million cash infusion.
Aeros products have long been popular in developing nations.
The masks were originally manufactured in Thailand and the Uganda.
Pinnacle Global is the world’s largest maker of air quality masks.
In February, the company agreed to buy the company from private equity firm Blackstone for $1.4 billion.
